- An incision is made to expose the bone over the implant
sites. These sites are prepared and implants inserted. The
operation is normally carried out under local anaesthesia
and is therefore painless.
- Following a healing period of about six months, the top
of the implant is exposed and connectors which pass through
the gum are placed onto the implant.
- The replacement teeth are attached to the connectors.
The entire procedure from evaluation to completion will
usually take anywhere from eight to eighteen months. Although
each case can be different, most follow this sequence.
